Reeds 2nd XV were awarded a walk over when their opponents Economicals, withdrew so they played a friendly against the Law Society’s 2nd XV and in what turned out to be a very close match came out on the losing side 44-48.

The game saw number of very good performances from the Reeds players with winger Dan Connell grabbing a brace of tries and younger brother Matt receiving the man of the match award for an assured performance at scrum half.

Will Ambidge and Adam Smith also played their first games in more than 6 months following injury and absenteeism respectively and put in creditable performances along with fly half Rhys Joel and centre Lewis Jones.

With more regular players and training attendance these sorts of performances will become wins and Reeds will be able to boast two very accomplished sides.
