Job Advertisement – Bar Staff

The ideal candidate would live locally and be able to get themselves to and from the rugby club at  their own expense. We are ideally looking for someone who has connections with the club but is a  non‐playing member and can regularly commit to Saturday and Sunday shifts. Full training will be given and no previous experience is necessary, good mental arithmetic is  essential though. Pay will start at £8 p/hr.  Shifts will be Saturdays and Sundays during the playing season with  additional work available through the year at one off events. Typical Saturday times would be from approx. 1pm to 6pm.  Typical Sunday shifts would be from approx. 12pm to 3:30pm. Additional shifts would be available throughout the year for events.  Times for these vary but are  usually Friday or Saturday evenings from approx. 7pm till 1am.     If you have an interest in the role above please get in touch with Chris Cowap (Email)

Volunteer Position – Bar Manager

A volunteer is required to assist with the day to day running of the bar, including stock management, staffing of the bar and event co‐ordination.   Guidance will be given and further information  regarding the role and responsibilities can also be obtained through further conversations if  interested.  Duties include Management; management of the bar on days when the club is open for the senior section  on Saturdays and Mini’s & Youth on Sundays as well as any one off events that the club is  booked out for.   Staff management; ensuring the bar is staffed sufficiently and running the bar during  weekends and for events. Training of staff to ensure that all individuals are capable and  understand their roles and responsibilities.   Stock management; ensuring that orders for all stock are placed ahead of requirements  including liaison with our wine supplier   Event Co‐ordination; Liaising with clients and other members, ensuring the social calendar is  managed, liaising with clients and organising staff, additional stock and any specific  requirements for outside events such as extra glasses .  These typically include the bi‐annual  Reeds RFC Ball, 40th & 50th birthdays, Coaches Dinners etc  The ideal candidate would likely have an affiliation to the senior section of the club and be, or  looking to be, more socially active within the club environment.      If you have an interest in the role above please get in touch with Chris Cowap (Email)
